Car Air Conditioning
If your car’s air conditioning unit is faulty or blowing warm air, then visit us for air conditioning servicing and regassing. Our vehicle technicians can service and recharge air conditioning units for both older vehicles that use R134a refrigerant gas and newer vehicles that require R1234yf refrigerant gas. For further information or to book your vehicle in for an air-con service and recharge, get in touch with the team.
Free Air-Con Temperature Checks
We can perform a free temperature check to ensure your air-con unit is working as it should. If it is working efficiently then there is nothing to pay! If we find that it is inefficient and needs regassing, then we can carry out the recharge while you wait. We offer air conditioning recharges from just £50 + VAT, a small price to pay for clean, fresh air on a hot summer’s day!
Car Air Conditioning Servicing
Vehicle air conditioning is not checked as part of the annual MOT test. As a result, it can be neglected. Most vehicle manufacturers recommend the air conditioning unit is serviced and recharged every two years. The system can permeate around 10% of its refrigerant gas every year, resulting in poor performance if not serviced periodically. Efficient air-con systems not only give you a cool blast in the warmer months but can also help to clear your windscreen quickly in cold weather.
Our air conditioning servicing and recharge includes:
- Fault finding
- Testing for leaks
- Extraction of all the old refrigerant gas, oil and dye
- Thorough clean and de-bug of the entire system which will remove bacteria and moisture
- Injection of new oil, dye and either R134a or R1234yf gas
